Keep getting movement error and alarms

Hello, Ive had my LM2 for about 2 months now. Ive had it stop in the past but just ignored it. Now Im engraving and cutting more intricate pieces and likes to stop mid way thru and if I reset it will stop in same location with same errors.

last night i had it stop while doing a name in offset fill. the letter was about 2.5" tall and speed was 2500mm/m. today, im doing some cutting in 3mm and it keeps stopping same places with same code. i was running 500mm all the way down to 120mm. it seems it does it more with the complex cuts like it doesnt have the memory to hole the cut, if thats possible. Just out of curiosity, is your LM2 bolted down (mine came with 4 L brackets) or is it sitting unsecured to the bench? I wonder if it’s moving around during certain parts of the job and triggering the shock sensor. Just a thought.

Try $33=500 in console where it says (Type comnmands here)
And try again running
Your gshock sensor is triggering just at the treshold.
Might be design driven but you can loosen up the sensitivity a bit.

:+1:, thanks for the reply. I’m in the process of putting mine together so that’s good to know. I’m planning on printing some height adjusting blocks from Thingiverse to secure mine. When Gil left his post I went and looked at my $33 setting and it’s at 1000 out of the box (to be fair,I have a OLM2 Pro so that setting may/could be very different). What was/is your default $33 setting?

I am having what I believe to be the same issue (my orturs feet are bolted down). Has v1.0.01 changed any settings that Ortur uses?

I just went over and read your thread. I literally just put my LM2 Pro together this afternoon, and since my trial had expired, I updated LB before I plugged in my laser. I engraved a couple 40mm box outlines at different speeds and powers just to make sure the laser worked and it didn’t make any horrible noises. Now I need to print out one of those speed/power test patterns but the ones I’ve looked at seem a little slow based on what the LM2 Pro is capable of. Now I’m a little worried about what may be lurking based on wilsontowing and your posts. As I mentioned earlier the $33 is set to 1000 so that might be Ortur’s fix depending what everyone else has theirs set at.

On the OLM pro $33 is PWM frequency
If you find your Gshock sensor too sensitive you can lower its sensitivity with
$262=500

Thanks Gil, I need to be much more careful when comparing the LM2 to the LM2 Pro. I see now that there are significant differences. I will refrain from doing so in the future. Is there a link to the LM2 Pro specific GRBL settings? I can see what they’re set to, I just don’t know what some of them are, such as, are the flame sensor settings at the same $ location?. And as always, thank you for all the help you provide on this forum.

This is the OLM2 Pro Firmware defaults for the 1.55 Firmware (1.70 has slightly different defaults values i need to update this)
Of interest are the last page last 5 settings which are the Ortur custom ones

Thank you so much, that was just what I was looking for!

Turns out I have a 1.70 series, so I will be very interested in seeing what the differences are.
