I have a kentok laser and rotary. It didn’t come with very clear instructions and I really have no idea how to hook it up correctly, nor how to work with it. My other problem is the rotary came with legs to put on the laser, however you have to hook laser up and keep legs on it or use rotary only and keep legs on it. You cant use the laser and rotary without completely adjusting the laser and making it so much higher with the legs that you are unable to use just the laser and honeycomb bed for anything other than the rotary use. Am i missing something.
Also when i hooked it up the rollers would spin but i could not get laser to engage at all and couldn’t get it to stop spinning one of the times. I am sure it is operator error but i do need some help and advice on how to go about fixing the problems.
Follow Lightburn doc for rotary setup.
You can fix some metallic tabs between the legs and the laser to support the honeycomb a 2 in 1 solution.
On my S30 machine, I raised the laser frame a lot. I built a table with a big hole in it, smaller than the honeycomb footprint.
I set the honeycomb on top of the riser table. All is good.
I remove the honeycomb to use the chuck rotary. All is good.
The aluminum plate covers the rotary when using the honeycomb. All is good.
I added a Yaxis/Rotary switch, so it takes about a minute to switch back and forth. I use the Macro buttons to switch the parameters for GRBL. All is good.
