Is there an easy way to adjust kerf when making something with box joints? The way I am doing it now is going into node edit and adjusting them one at a time. If I am making some sort of box and it has many joints, that can take a long time to do.
Yes- there’s an easier way. ![]()
You can set a kerf offset for Line layers in the Cut Settings Editor.
I see it in the setting, but is there a way to see it. When I do the offset, it’s not showing the new line.
The kerf adjustment 'move’s where the tool path is, so you can’t really ‘see’ it… You can make a duplicate the object and not use kerf on the duplicate, then you can see how it affected the output in preview.
Using node edit works… but it will cost you time and materials that you probably can’t afford…
Let us see what you are doing and how, maybe we can help you out… I find most people who don’t work with ‘machines’ don’t really understand kerf and how it’s applied…
How did you determine ‘your’ kerf for that specific material?
