Kerf offset for tabbed boxes

Sorry if this seems redundant but I didn’t find any posts relating to my particular question.

When making acrylic tabbed boxes I use a kerf offset of 0.15 mm outward on the box end pieces only and no kerf offset on the front, back and bottom. I don’t know if this is the right way to do this or not. Is there a better way or should I apply the kerf offset differently?

Think about this, if you only apply the kerf offset to the end pieces, how do the front, back and bottom connect tightly to each other? Your only tight connection would be at the ends.

I would apply the kerf offset to all pieces equally, probably half of what you are currently using, 0.07 or 0.08.

Usually, there is no single “right way”. If it works for you, go ahead. If your workflow has some issues, we can talk about different approaches
