This is a Key Holder I make and sell commercially, I do other designs too. The material is laminate flooring which engraves and cuts well. The key hooks were really difficult to find, ended up having to go to the manufacturer in China.

How thick is the material and what power laser do you have?
The laminate is around 6mm thick and I use a 100w laser to cut it.
