Lack of power when cutting or engraving

Good afternoon everyone
This is my first time in asking for some help and advice.
And any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have a Sculpfun S30 Ultra 22W laser that has been working great for the last couple of years.
Up untill last night that is.
I am in the middle of cutting out a 5 layered design, the first 3 layers have cut out perfect, I put a new piece of plywood onto the laser ready to cut the next layer and pressed start, the laser came on and started to trace the cutout but wasn’t making any mark on the wood. The laser was firing but only on very low power, like the 1% power that I use for framing.
The previous 3 layers that I had cut without a problem and the settings are all the same for each layer.
Speed 300
Power 70
Pass count 3.
I have checked all the cable connections and dismantled the laser and cleaned like I have many times before.
I have checked the Motherboard . I have a red light on when the laser is switched on and a blue light on when I press the start button.
The laser moves ok and traces the cutout image it just doesn’t cut.
It looks to me as if I have lost laser power somewhere.
I connected my laptop the the laser and tried to run a cut with the same settings but that doesn’t make any difference.
I’m thinking it maybe a fault with the Motherboard, but really wanted some advice before I go down the line of buying another one.
I have also tried different power cables and PC connection cables.
Your help and advice would be very much appreciated
Thank you

It’s much more likely that the laser head is dead. Or at least some of the diodes. It’s very unlikely that the mainboard is broken. Try the wall test (point at a white wall a few meters away) and check the beam shape. For the 22W, you should see 2 or 4 lines. Post a picture.

You can test to directly connect the head to a power supply and the signal wire to steady 5V. Then the module should fire at 100%. If it does, it’s indeed the mainboard or power supply.

Many thanks for your reply message.
Here is a picture of my laser firing from about 6 feet from the wall, not very clear unfortunately but hope it helps
many thanks again

That’s definitely not ok, here is a picture of the S30 Ultra 33W, which has six lines:

You module should have at least two distinct lines, maybe four (depending on generation).
