Hello! I set up a new computer (HP OMEN 35L Valorant Edition) and now Lightburn is lagging HORRIBLY. Any suggestions? I am running windows 11 and have the most recent lightburn installed.
That is like buying a Corvette Stingray to haul dirt.
A machine like that is going to have a lot of settings relating to performance of the applications. You may have to go into the settings and give Lightburn more processor time.
Something else that might be a problem is virus protection software. Lightburn actively writes to the storage drive and the checker might be scanning everything and causing a bottleneck.
What exactly are you doing when LightBurn is lagging ?
Have you tried just doing a reinstall of LightBurn?
Do you have instructions on doing that? Its been 4 years since I’ve tweaked any settings on my other OMEN which worked fine with lightburn. I game with COD and WOW which are both working just fine so I’m shocked lightburn is being goofy
With it being freshly downloaded and installed I wouldnt think I’d need to reinstall but I’ll do that and see what happens
nvm I found it
I did delete restart and redownload. Still having the issue with lagging when moving items
What’s the resolution of your display? Which version of LightBurn are you running? Are you using Filled Rendering mode? (we need a bunch more information here)
Running the most UTD LB. 3440/1440 resolution Ive tried all wireframe/filled rendering options and still have issues. This is specifically a lightburn issue. No other programs are doing it. Ive also tried rolling back to older versions of lightburn with no fix to the issue. What other information do you need?
It’s a hard thing for us to diagnose without seeing it, could you do a screencap (Windows Key + Shift + S, switch to screen record mode) then upload it to youtube/google drive (sharing enabled) or imgur so we can see what’s going on?
Can you do this too?
- In LightBurn, go to Help > Enable Debug Logging
- Drag some things around to get the lag you’re referring to
- Turn debug logging back off
In your Documents folder, you’ll find LightBurnLog.txt - attach that here.
