Laptop dying, but have access to hard drive via bootable usb to rescue my settings if possible

HI All, been a lightburn user for a few years now, have a dual setup, ie, for my co2 and my fibre, with lots of material parameters that I have accumalated, my laptop is dying, only way to get into it is via a hirens boot cd, and need to rescue my settings and laser configs, is there a way to do this, what files do i need to save, any help would be greatly appreciated, TIA

Please be a tad more specific. How were these saved within LightBurn? As saved Material Test Presets (.lbmt extension), Material Library files (.clb extension), project files (.lbrn / .lbrn2 extension)?

If you produced bundles of your configuration, you should be able to grab those as well to help with retaining your settings.

User Bundles

LightBurn 1.6 simplifies the migration process by bundling everything that needs to be moved into a single .lbzip file.

User Bundles allow you to export and import your LightBurn settings, device profiles, and libraries. You can choose to export everything at once, or select and export only certain components you wish to transfer.

A bundle can include any of the following:

HI
Material libraries, not the biggest issue, its the machines and their settings, ie 200mm lens settings and 110mm lens settings, and the dual setup, just ran lightburn through hirens recovery disk, but as its not in the windows environment, its not activated, so will do that first and hopefully be able to export everything through the bundle export
much appreciated, may be back if that fails

No, wont work as, when i open lightburn through the boot cd, its as if i have never used it before, the files are accessible, just in this ‘fake’ environment, nothing will work like on regular windows, so I need to save.copy actual files manually i think

Welcome to the forum.
If you have original Windows Iso, you can clone your disk then boot the clone in another system, sometimes Windows can install needed files for the new system and boot.

HI
Am cloning the drive now, as a backup at the very least, will try fix the UEFI, as i think that where the issue is
on a side note, am presuming I would have to re calibrate my lenses for my fibre if i was having to do a complete wipe and re install

Ultimately, all of the configuration for your LightBurn devices is stored in C:\Users\YOUR USERNAME\AppData\Local\LightBurn If you can copy that entire directory off, you’ll get your machine config, which will include you lens calibrations, etc.

Art Libraries and Material Libraries are just files on the disc, as others have stated, and don’t have any standard place to put them.
