Laser always on at 100% power

Good day all, i have an issue with my Creality CR-Falcon Laser 10W. For some reason the laser is always on at 100% it does not switch off. When i do cutting it cuts like it must but only everywhere the laser moves it burns the material. What can i check to see what the fault?

Do you have access to a multimeter?

Does the laser fire imediatly when you power the machine on and it goes through the homing cycle?

I have access to a multimeter yes.

Yes laser fires immediately when power is switched on. It does the homing cycle and then the laser stays on at 100%

I would firstly home without laser head connected

Once done you will need to evaluate if the wire is sending the correct signal on the laser head using your multimeter

Maybe post also a few images so we can doodle some guides on them

How do i test the signal?

Is this new laser?
Laser is on all the time or just between cuts?
Is your device set to plain GRBL?
Any updates to software etc. when this problem started?

Lets say it 1year old.
All the time from when you switch on the machine.
Yes Plain GRBL.
Nope problem started when we moved to new house.

Did you unplug disassemble anything in the move?
Can you type $$ into console and paste?

Unplugged and disassemble everything.

I will have to check.

From our Troubleshooting Documentation will likely be of use to you!

Will give it a try.

I would check for any bent pins in any connector that was unplugged.

Oky so an update. The cable going to the laser and to the motor driving the laser has been swapped. Maybe that can be what is causing it. The laser is still always on but not at 100% anymore.
