Laser Burning to hot and slow with such high settings

So I am engraving some text on some little wood plaques and it’s taken me around 5-10 minutes to engrave with my settings on inches/min with speed 200 and power 70. My laser has worked fine until now. I’m running the same jobs and same settings as before, but my laser is now running slow and burning way to hot on such a low setting. My run time now on the job is 1h 20m for such a little text. Any suggestions on this?

Hard to answer, but I doubt your laser module has deteriorated so suddenly.
If you can please post your lbrn. file and cut settings.

If the wood is resinous or sappy, organic condensate can build up on the lens. You may want to attempt to clean the lens according to the manufacturers recommendations.
