Laser busy unable to send files to it on a windows and a mac

Unable to send files to laser. Says busy. I’ve researched the topic and none of them are completed answers. It was connected on both a windows and a mac and now it won’t work on either. Please advise. I’m not knew to laser but if you give complicated command prompt programing you will lose. I would like someone to walk me through troubleshooting with a screenshare if possible. The windows will no longer find the laser the mac still says busy.

Windows…
With Laser disconnected:
START button, scroll down to Windows Administrative Tools and click.
Click Computer Management.
Click Device Manager.

Observe items in list near Network Adaptors.
If anything is listed under Ports (COM & LPT), Make a list of what is there and then start unplugging USB connections until they go away.

Now with the laser USB cable connected between the laser and the PC, turn on the laser. You should hear some sort of ding from Windows and something like this image should appear.
USB Port

If a ding and a USB connection appears, select your listed COM port in Lightburn.

If no ding, or the CH340 does not appear, start by replacing the USB cable with a quality one that has a knot (ferrite attenuator) in it.
