I purchased the creality falcon2 pro 22w laser and absolutely love it. However when i updated to the newer version of lightburn my laser camera no longer works, as soon as i connect the camera cable the machine beeps continuoisly and bumps in home repeatedly. I am even unable to do a recallibration. What am i doing wrong? What can i do to resolve this? Ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling lightburn as well as trying to reset the machine to factory default but there is no defaultlaser.Lbset file. Please help
Where do you connect the camera? Both camera and laser should be connected to the host PC and are just two different USB devices. The laser should not react on the camera at all.
Mine is having the same issue. I was able to calibrate and align camera before it started. Lightburn repeats the same msg while camera is connected. However the gantry moved aft and ignores stop switch and attempts to force past it.

After reading several threads and looking at my computer’s ports in Device Manager… I turned off my Bluetooth on my HP Envy laptop and the issue stopped for a little while until I took a picture to update the background and it started up again.
Windows laptop. I have 3 usb ports. It was all working fine until i did a update on ligbtburn. Since thwn the camera started doing this. Even tried another laptop. Still does it.
Dont get me wrong, i absolutely LOVE lightburn, awesome laser software. Just so sad that this happened after doing a update from version 7 to 8. I have been online since yesterday morning looking for answers and advice to no avail. That when i found falcon design space. Designed for creality falcon2 pro 22w lasers etc.
Here is the link to the video. I hope it helps, i will install tomorrow and see what happens and keep you updated. Will still appreciate if ligjtburn can resolve the issue. https://youtu.be/_nu4q9R2uT0?si=fVV1Ax8jSbO2aEXY
I deleted everything in the prefs folder in an attempt to reset everything as advised by another user. But it did not help. Alarm3 kept appearing before and after doing this. And a message about "reset while in motion or something, lightburn cannot confirm exact position of the laser, re homing is suggested or something like that. Cant remember exactly what it said. But it does that every time. The camera usb port hardly touches the comp port and it starts up already, it starts jittering and bumping in home with beeping. Another suggestion was to reset the laser by selecting the defaultlaser.lbset file (not sure if thats correct) that apparently came on the removable usb device, but there was no such file. Is there a way i can downgrade the laser and lightburn, i just purchased lightburn for R1800 last week after the trial had ended and was so happy with it, and the update was yesterday morning. All was fine and working before update.
I also updated to the latest firmware of the laser and machine after the update had done this, thinking that lightburns newer veraion was not compatible with the laser unless i update the laser firmware. Didnt help.
It sounds like your device profile wasn’t set up correctly. When I review the instructions provided by your laser manufacturer, they referenece importing their .lbdev file when creating the device profile for your machine.
Your laser should have come with an SD card with the .lbdev file on it, can you check to see if it’s there? This would be the quickest way to ensure your settings are set up correctly.
Yes i recieved a file and i installed the laser (add device) by importing the lbdev file. As i said the machine and everythings was set up correctly and working fine intil i updated to the newer version of lightburn. I have been making projects since end January.
Everything is still working fine, im still able to cut projects and everything as usual. Its just when i connect the camera cable the machine goes all crazy
Where do you connect the camera?
Check the main LB settings and make sure you set the camera capture system to the default system. Just plugging in the camera should have no effect at all to the laser, since both aren’t connected. Maybe you can create a video?
Ill upload a video later on after ive finished cutting my projects today. My laptop has 3 ports. One for the mouse, one for the laser and another for the camera. As i said it worked before. Anyway, now when i connect the camera it immediately starts jittering and beeping and bumping into the home frame. If someone can maybe help me with the camera settings perhaps? Maybe my setrings are off? Is it possible that the new veraion does not compensate for the camera?
That’s really weird because the camera shouldn’t control the laser at all. But you already removed and re-installed LB, correct? That would be my first suggestion in this case.
