Laser comes on when framing

When I frame a project, the laser comes on frames then shuts off. I’m guessing it’s a setting, but on black or dark projects it leaves a line.

You can disable this in Edit->Device Settings->Enable laser fire button->Laser on when framing.

I think that’s a very nice and helpful function, so I would not turn it off completely. I suggest to adjust the power in the move window and set a percentage that is such low that it doesn’t leave a trace. Usually, values below 1% are fine.

OP has an xTool D1 and is likely using the crosshairs which is why this is undesirable in his case.
