Laser engraver losing position while cutting with multiple pass

Dear Light burn community, I m very new to forum and posting my query first time so please bear with me if this is a repeat question.
I am using Sculpfun diode engraver. This has been working fine for years for me. But from recent past I am facing issue with machine losing position while cutting on multi pass. Please refer to attach images, I tried to cut 3 flowers with 10 pass. The first one went fine and second and third one with each cut the machine position was losing. This is happening very often, as I am just hobbyist I am not sure how to troubleshoot this problem.

first things first, everything needs a tighten up and maybe a bit of a clean. Check the belts tensions are they evenly tensioned and in good condition, or are they stretched or damaged? Is the lens on your diode clean and in focus is it firmly mounted, is the frame on your machine loosening up or under strain/getting a little tired? If your machine is loosing position it is almost certainly a mechanical problem.

By the looks of the images shared, the circles don’t look perfect (highlighted in blue) and the petal of the flowers are not smooth and have jagged edges ( highlighted in red) this is a clear indication of a mechanical problem. As rightly suggested by @Dominic check your belts, eccentric nuts, laser module mounting, laser lens and overall frame tightness.

Here is a guide which might be of help, the guide has to do with Sculpfun diode engraver so it will be very relevant to you :

all due credit to @MikeyH for sharing this with me when I was experiencing dimensional accuracy issues with my diode laser cutter.

I love that I got credit for this, but the true heroes are the Lightburn community. I just happened to be the one that day. :+1:
