Hello,
I have an Aeon Nova 14 laser machine, and I’m experiencing an issue where the laser fires while the axis is moving. Here are the details:
Software Used: LightBurn
Problem: The laser turns on during movement, which is not the intended behavior.
Steps Taken:
Checked power and speed settings.
Inspected the machine for loose connections.
Verified that the lens and mirrors are clean.
Questions:
How can I disable the laser from firing during travel in LightBurn?
Are there any specific settings I should check to resolve this issue?
Thank you for your assistance!

You can’t, because the symptoms indicate a failing HV power supply ignoring its Enable
input, which seems to be a disturbingly common failure mode, even for new machines:
I have been using lightburn a couple months now and thought I was getting the hang of it but I have run into a problem that I don’t know how to resolve. I recently updated to version 1.4.04 and when I bring up a previously designed object in lightburn it looks fine but If I bring up the preview screen or actually try to burn the object I’m getting a line from the home position to the start of the object and also lines connecting all the parts of the objects. In other words, rather than just burn…
My first project turned out fantastic; however, on my second and third projects, I have clean cut marks in throughout my engraved burns. How do I get rid of the cut marks?
Replacing the supply is the only solution.

I have replaced a brand new controller and it still doing same thing. I don’t think it’s the power supply. It’s could be the signal input. I will double check.

Definitely let us know what you find, because if it’s not the power supply it’ll be a new data point!
