Laser Firing During Axis Movement - Aeon Nova 14

Hello,

I have an Aeon Nova 14 laser machine, and I’m experiencing an issue where the laser fires while the axis is moving. Here are the details:

  • Software Used: LightBurn
  • Problem: The laser turns on during movement, which is not the intended behavior.
  • Steps Taken:
    • Checked power and speed settings.
    • Inspected the machine for loose connections.
    • Verified that the lens and mirrors are clean.

Questions:

  1. How can I disable the laser from firing during travel in LightBurn?
  2. Are there any specific settings I should check to resolve this issue?

Thank you for your assistance!

You can’t, because the symptoms indicate a failing HV power supply ignoring its Enable input, which seems to be a disturbingly common failure mode, even for new machines:

Replacing the supply is the only solution.

I have replaced a brand new controller and it still doing same thing. I don’t think it’s the power supply. It’s could be the signal input. I will double check.

Definitely let us know what you find, because if it’s not the power supply it’ll be a new data point!
