Laser Head keeps burning after STOP is pressed in Lightburn

When I hit the STOP button in Lightburn, the laser head stops moving but keeps burning creating a fire danger. I have to hit the emergency stop on the laser burner itself to shut the laser off and prevent a fire.

How old is the machine? If it is under warranty, contact the point of purchase immediately.

It could be the GRBL code (very unlikely), the PWM controller module for the laser head, the GRBL software is corrupt, or the controller board itself.

Code: Create a small square, then use the Save Gcode button. Examine the text file for M5 (turns the laser off) near the end.

Using the part you just created, set the power to 5% and run it. Does the laser shut off now?

If it does not, type M5 in the Console window and hit enter. Shut off now?
