I am having issues engraving my image centered over the logo on a Yeti tumbler. I have a Boss LS1630 with the BossMod rotary attachment. I am using the chuck rotary. My rotary settings match up to what Boss recommends (10000 steps; tumbler circumference 11"). I position the laser head over the center mark I placed on the tumbler, but when I frame out the image, the head doesn’t go back to the center mark. Boss tech support told me to change my steps to 6800. When I did this, the head goes back to the center mark after framing, but my image size is way off. It shows on Lightburn that it is 5 inches wide, but comes out after engraving as only 3.25 inches wide. I know that that has to do with the steps being decreased, but I am at a loss on what to do. I either have my image the right dimensions but off-center, or it is centered with the wrong dimensions. Has anybody else had this issue? I tried calling Boss tech back, but they stop taking tech calls at 4pm EST and I am on the west coast. I waited 5 hours for them to call me today about the steps and now I have to wait until Monday to get a hold of anybody. I have a deadline coming up fast and I am super frustrated. Thanks!
Can you post your .lbrn2 file?
What do you have set for ‘job origin’ and ‘start from’ set?
I assume the 10,000 steps are for 1 rotation? I’d return it to the proper numbers and check out how it’s set up in Lightburn.
I don’t have a ‘chuck’ type, so I don’t have to worry about diameter/circumference.
