I have been having issues with my text not being finished on the left side or the bottom of letters. So instead of the O being circular, it will be flat on the bottom, ect… Any idea how to fix this? Thank you.
I’m using a Ortur Laser Master 2 Pro s2 with a SF diode. I have the settings set to a speed of 6000 and power of 40 as I am engraving slate coasters.
What is that design supposed to look like? Can you attach a screenshot or the .lbrn file?
First impression is that either your wheels or belts on the Y-Axis are too tight. Does the laser head move freely and effortlessly when the laser is off? Or do you feel it dragging or binding anywhere? If so, look for the source and try to relieve it.
This is the lightburn file with the text in it. For some reason, if I do a custom text aka my own text of any kind, it does this, but if I do it off an image it takes just fine.
If i had to guess. i would say is belt tensions
Could you take a overview image of your Y belts (left/Right)?
you could try to avoid this by also activting Fill shapes at once
It looks as if it is only an issue with this font. No matter what i do. If i use the original font, if i find the logo and trace it. For some reason it will not finish the bottom of the letters and i still cant figure out why.
Can you print the design on a printer or to a PDF file? Does it look correct there? If so, then it should be able to burn this correctly.
I wasn’t able to see the design in the .lbrn file because I don’t have the font on my computer. Perhaps convert the text to a path and re-upload the .lbrn file.
Try an engraving after converting the font to a path. It seems unusual that you’re only having issues exclusively with this font but if it is something unique to the font then converting to a path would eliminate that possibility.
If the issue persists after converting to path then there’s something happening mechanically to cause this.
