During 2023 I started using Lightburn to control a 50w CO2 laser. This was for marquetry work with 0.6mm wood veneers of various trees using my own data created in a CADCAM application. The attached picture shows 5 items each about 160mm square that I have made.

Very beautiful and precis work, my congratulations
These are so stunning! I love doing marquetry. It’s so satisfying!
Great work, I have been doing marquetry also. The laser is a great precision tool.
Lovely! Did you do this with just the Lightburn Kerf Offset feature?
If so then consider Image Paint as it renders before outputting directly to Lightburn.
It’s a plugin to either CorelDRAW or Adobe Illustrator so does require an added investment.
With Image Paint you can render the grain of your veneer sheet scans.
Below are the actual results which look just like the rendering,
Leveraging veneer’s grain and seeing the results in advance is powerful.
