Laser moves around but does not fire after upgrading motherboard, controller and switching to Lightburn

And in machine settings;

-disable Laser 1 and water protection for laser 1.

-leave water protection disabled for Laser2 for now.

Oh and you may also have to enable the ‘Multi-Tube Enable’ setting.

WOW, its working! I think the Cam 5 guys didn’t tell me to enable the Laser 2 controls. I’ll try cutting different materials. The Pot only reads 15ma on 90% power, Im not sure if thats what it was before. Thank you SO much for your help…

No problem!

Make sure you enable water protection for Laser 2 now, and shift the water protection circuit to WP2 - and test that it triggers and stops the laser when your flow sensor is tripped.

Is the 15mA with the pot at 100% and Cut Settings at 90%?

Oh, I see you already moved the water circuit across, so remove the WP1 to GND loop on CN5, and test if WP2 circuit is working by pinching the water hose or turning off the chiller while a job is running.

The problem here is that pot exists after the controller and before the lps, so you won’t see any effect from a change in the pot position measuring at the controller.

Signal path in the machine goes from bottom controller, through the pot, to top where the lps is connected. The pot is between the controller and lps, unless you measure it at the lps or at the yellow line, you don’t know what value is presented to the lps.

Make sense?

Generally when you re-wired it, I don’t know what you were doing obfuscating the laser1/2 interface. With one tube, you should be using laser 1, not laser 2. So I’m kind of lost here.
