When moving the laser from side to side direction or moving from one end to the other end, the laser will take off in the opposite direction than directed to go This does not happen every time. It occurs when I am trying to move the laser a longer distance. When it happens the laser moves at a great amount of speed causing it to crash into the sides or end of the Laser Frame hard. I try to get it stopped before this happens. I have checked my connections several times to see if they are loose. I have cleared the software and reloaded it. I have tried different versions, but I still have it happen occasionally. It doesn’t happen when the laser is actually in use, except when I set it to frame the problem frequently happens. At times there is no issue at all. Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated. I am using LightBurn Software. I have read through “Similar Topics” and I have not seen the same issue as what I am encountering,

This can be due to an excessively high acceleration value causing the stepper motors to lose sync, because they cannot supply enough torque to get the laser head / gantry up to speed fast enough.
If this is the machine:
Then it’s likely the default acceleration was based on a much much smaller laser head. I do not know if Atomstack provides a different controller config for machines with that head, but (I think) you can tweak the acceleration values through LightBurn’s Edit → Machine Settings
menu:
Reduce the X Acceleration
and Y Acceleration
values by a factor of ten from whatever they are now, Write
the new values into the controller, then see if the behavior improves. The machine will accelerate much more slowly, which will dramatically increase the overscan region for engravings, so try simple moves and frames at the speeds causing trouble right now.
If it behaves better, you can increase the accelerations by factors of two until it misbehaves, then reduce them by that last factor of two. As the doc points out, the Y acceleration will likely be lower than the X, but with most of the gantry mass in that huge laser head they may not be all that different.
If it still fails, then something else is wrong. Restore the original accelerations and we can proceed.

buttons in the Machine Settings
window can be lifesavers. Save the configuration before messing with it and restore it when things go sideways.

Problems may be caused by motors, drives, machinery, power, software, or interference. It is recommended to contact the LightBurn support team or the laser equipment manufacturer.
Speed movement of the laser seems to be an issue at times causing the laser to go in the wrong direction as directed. The problem does occur at slower speeds as well. So I am still not fully understanding the issue.
Have you reduced the axis acceleration? If so, what values have you tried?
Acceleration sets the initial force required to get the axis moving, regardless of the final speed. When that force exceeds what the motors can supply, the motors lose sync with the drivers and behave as you observe.
