I’ve cut and engraved in Lasergrbl and it worked fine, then when i go to lightburn the laser head will start moving but nothing is burning. I own a Two Trees TTS-55. Here’s the code i’m getting when i run $$ command. i saw to provide this is previous forums, but not sure what i’m looking for how to fix it. any help is greatly appreciated. thank you!
The most common reason for this is that you are working in mm/minute in LaserGRBL but working in mm/s or something else in LightBurn. If you use the same value in both cases LightBurn will attempt to run 60 times faster resulting in no burn.
The other thing to check is that the value listed for “S Value Max” when you go to Edit->Device Settings is set to 1000.
thanks for the reply and advice, i did see those fixes on other feeds too, so i had already set it to mm/m and the s value max is set to 1000 but still no go
ha. i think i got it. once i put it in the text i realized even though my settings are set at mm/m they were still extremely too fast. i was trying to use an omtech test card, which is for co2 lasers. i think that’s why it wasn’t working for my diode. speed was at 9000 mm/m and 20% power. i decided to use the material test card provided by lightburn and slowed things down. working a lot better now! thank you for helping, i had a bit of over sight!
