As you can see in the attachment pictures, finer details are missing in my engraving. primarily the edges of the dogs feet in this case. This happens with other photos as well. My laser is pretty much brand new.
If you rotate the photo by 180, does it do the same thing? if so, it points to a focus issue.

I saw improvements after rotating the image. So i know where to go now. Thank you very much
To me, it looks like you need to increase the power. It’s too weak and only bigger spots get visible.

As Melvin writes, rotation in relation to the wood fibers can sometimes have an effect. Recently I had a very similar “problem” which I solved by engraving an extra time, but with 90 degree rotated lines and both times with approx. 75% of the power otherwise used.
Unfortunately it takes twice as long but the result was nice and much clearer. Be careful, if you don’t reduce the power the image becomes relief-like and overburned.
