Laser Path Calibrating

I would like to share my experience with the “Cloudray Laser Path Calibrating Kit For E Series Laser Head”. The small tool for $ 3 can be used to make laser beam setting significantly easier. It fits all 3 mirrors on my machine and is incredibly easy to use. The crosshairs themselves are made of copper wire and look a bit primitv, but fulfill their task of making the impact of the laser beam more visible. It is no longer necessary to guess whether the beam hits the spot or not. With perfect adjustment, you get 4 small brand marks. I have made myself a small target disc in LightBurn, it should preferably be engraved and cut out of strong cardboard, up to 1mm fits nicely. I designed it as “self-centering” and the small handle makes it easy to see if it is level. An ordinary piece of double-folded paper of course also fulfills the task. The nice thing is, apart from the fact that it works fine, there is no cleaning of the mirrors afterwards, the dirt does not reach the mirrors. Only minus is, I saw too late that Cloudray also sells a “target finder” for the nozzle tube with M22. It costs $ 5 and will be remembered for the next order.

I made some targets that fit inside the pass through for the laser beam out of 3 mm birch I had left over. Very easy to tape on the back and you get quite a few tests out of it, even more so when you put tape on the front as you can see the lines behind it through the tape. I was thinking of getting this gadget too.

…I just corrected the text a bit, there had been too much “translation error” in it. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
