Laser Pecker 5 and Lightburn compatability

Is Lightburn compatible with the Laser Pecker 5?

As far as I know - no.

The advertisement doesn’t mention any software other than the supplied software and would mention Lightburn if it was supported.

Good luck

LaserPecker FAQ #7 (“What software does LaserPecker LP5 use?”) answer is “The LP5 works in harmony with LaserPecker Design Space Software(PC) and App, as well as Lightburn.”

But I would ask them for a direct confirmation before a possible purchase.

I went over to the laserpecker 5 site, didn’t see anything that says the 5 version will work with Lightburn… Maybe I missed it.

Where did you find your information?

Bottom of this link:

Found it, thanks… It must be a gcode galvo.

That’s great, I was not really aware, when I first read about it, I don’t think it would work with lightburn…

Thanks

Well, actually I’m quite doubtful…
I think a galvo laser is too fast to be properly driven via the traditional gcode route - not to mention many other galvo-specific features; rather, I would lean towards a partial Lightburn compatibility, i.e. by the diode engraver only.
Moreover, as you suggested, a full Lightburn compatibility would be well highlighted, being a definite commercial plus.
But, as already said in my previous post, I would ask for a definitive (and possibly binding) confirmation if really interested in the machine.

Then it might be supported by the galvo version of LightBurn.
