Laser point is too big

Hello! I’m having an AtomStack X7 Pro (10W) machine. I’m having problems with aligning to the perfect start point. I assume that the technique of alignment with this machine is:

  1. Raise the engraver’s head higher, click the “Fire” button to reveal the point of the laser
  2. Align the laser head in the X & Y axis, to be for example the bottom left part of the item
  3. Check the sides with the “Frame” tool
  4. When it seems correct, move down (Z axis) the laser head to the item to have 2mm distance from the item (for the perfect focus point).

My issue is that if I raise the laser head up (Z axis), my laser point becomes blurry and too big, so I’m not able to align to the item perfectly. Here’s an example: IMG-1072 hosted at ImgBB — ImgBB

What should I do? Let me know if you have any suggestions. Thanks!

The farther you move the laser away from the table, more blurred the beam becomes.
So, move the laser closer to the table and adjust if necessary.
