My laser use to frame and fire at 5% now it burns at 5% and I am not sure why but I believe its a light burn issue, my last issue was Lightburn issue after being told it could be my laser. It did this before and i had to delete prefs to fix it but now I deleted them and issue is still there. I etched the same pic on the same wood 3mm at different settings.
Lightburn:
speed 3500
Power 20% Burned deep
Power 10% Slight charring
Power 7% Almost perfect
Power 5% Very light like -1mm
Tried Laser GRBL speed 2000 at 29% and it looked between the 10% and 20% of Lightburn setting so I know this is not a Laser issue its Lightburn
How about you give us something to work with? Pictures of the results you’re getting and several screenshots. Post a screenshot (not a cell phone pic) of your entire Lightburn screen with your project loaded and the Cuts/Layers Panel and Laser Panel visible. Also post a screenshot of the Settings Window (Gears icon) with the Units and Grids tab visible and post a screenshot of the Device Settings Window (Wrench and Screwdriver icon). Maybe with these we will have an idea what may be happening.
After doing all this I finally got frustrated uninstalled the program deleted every file I could find and then reinstalled it now it’s fixed
It’s likely the problem with your setting of S-Value Max… This usually defaults to 1000 and is part of the computations for percent power.
Hopefully it’s working ok now?
