Hi Alexis

There are a lot of variables that can alter the most suitable settings such as quality of ply, pre-treatments etc so the best way to find out is by testing.

I have a 20w diode and my usual settings for cutting 5mm birch ply are Speed-1200mm/Min and 95% Power and 6 passes.

You can progressively work out whats best and gives the cleanest cut in the shortest time. When you find the correct number of passes you may add one more just incase you hit a patch that is more dense…for whatever reason.

Those settings do the job most of the time but they vary depending on circumstances

For 2.8mm Baltic ply, I use 800mm/m, 80% (10w), air assist, and 5 passes.
Air assist makes a big difference. If you have it, you might use 4 passes or even less.
