Hello. We have a Haas HL-50E using the lightburn software. When the door is opened, while the laser is running, triggering the prox, there is a wide variation in the time it takes the laser to turn off. Anywhere from a half second up to 4 seconds. Any ideas how to speed up this time for safety reasons or other ways to not allow the door opened during operation?
That would be a function of the controller, not Lightburn. Likely, the controller continues to run whatever is left in the buffer before stopping.
I would contact HAAS because it is definitely a safety issue.
