Laser stopping close to end of engrave. Told it’s because I’m running a light burn on a MacBook

Hello,

I’m currently using a USB to transfer files to the laser and I’m finding my engrave only files will stop about 1-2 minutes right before the end. I’ve been told there is an issue with send through USB and that I should do it through wifi or get a driver?
I feel the problem has gotten worse since I got my new MacBook Air

Would love some kind of help on this as soon as possible since I am trying to run my business during the busiest time of the year.
