Since I have updated to the latest version of Lightburn as soon as I connect my Atomstack A5 pro it tries to home in the bottom left corner. but as there are no limit switches it just keeps bouncing against the side. The homing option is switched off. Can I go back to the older version?

However if your laser does not have switches, you should have homing disabled on firmware level.
I have the option you show switched off. I have reinstalled an older version and it does not occur.
Did you check before or after the roll-back?

What is the GRBL parameter $22 setting?
