What are some of the better brands of CO2 laser tubes that interface well with the OMTECH 60W laser. I have the red and black one with the model number MF-2028. I’m not quite ready for a replacement tube yet as the one that came with the laser seems to be working well but I want to have an idea of which brands/models of tubes I should be considering.
As I rack up more hours on this original tube I want to get an idea of which brands I should consider. I’ll be looking for something that has “grade A” quality, from brand with good a reputation and quality control. Something that’s “plug and play” without any serious wiring modifications would also be nice.
I have purchased from Cloud Ray for my recent purchases, including a tube.
My China Blue was stated to be 50W and it was luck to make the 44W, which is relative to it’s size of 880mm. A work output of a 50W tube should be 50W.
I spoke to Russ Sadler about tubes in particular and about a fiber machine specifically, if you’ve heard of him, he advised I purchase from Cloud Ray and that they supply grade A replacement parts. I purchased a 40W tube, come with documentation it was 40W and performs the same as the OMTech 50W I was sold.
I also purchase a number of other items and have found them very consistent. I got my fiber via Cloud Ray.
I’ve seen photos of a new 80W Reci tube, with a tag on it saying 75W.
This is a grade B tube Reci wouldn’t sell to the public, but some vendor will buy it and put it in an advertised 80W machine or sell it to some user as an 80W replacement. 99% of the time they won’t know.
Hi Jack. I’ve only ever bought 2 items from them. Jason referred them to me, when I was looking for my Chiller. The best I can remember. No documentation came with my tube. But that’s been a while back.
