Laser wont communicate

I am trying to start my project but keep getting that message. I have changed ports, restarted both the engraver and computer, made sure it was connected and it ran once but now I can’t get it to run anymore. Lightburn is the only software communicating with the engraver and I am still in trail, I want to by it as I like the setup but I want to make sure I can get it working with my laser first. Below is what is showing up in the console

Lightburn will not connect to Ray5 laser

Something is wrong with the serial device. Either the driver was corrupted with the partial install or something else going on. power cycle the laser and reconnect in LightBurn. Capture all the data in Console window from the moment of reconnect. Copy and paste the text in a response here. open Device Manager in windows. Search for Device Manager if required. In this posting, scroll down to posting #17, where it mentions Device Manager.

Are you seeing a Com port for the laser appear when you turn the laser on? And it disappears when you turn the laser off?

It is also stuck on waiting for connection unless i right click devices then the above message displays. When I turn off the laser the com does disappear in device manager

Please somebody help me.I have had this issue for over a year with the monport controller on my k40.I have tried everything and nothing worked.
It says laser ready but nothing happens, no movement at all. I dont know if its the grbi setting or the controller.Does anyone has the grbl setting.
I also read in read that i might need to put a jumper between the psu and the controller.
This has caused me much frustration and monport will not answer their ph.
