Everything works as it should, except the focus test. I installed a new 101.6 lens and was going to run the focus test and the laser will not fire. It works on a project but not on the test. Any suggestions??
Is this confirmed by an Ammeter (amp gauge or read out) on the front panel?
What is the selected value for percent-power for the working project?
What is the selected value for the maximum power for the focus tool?
The documentation shows a Power Max = 20% as a default setting. Turning on High Power Laser mode changes the way the X-Axis is labelled.
On a 100W CO2 laser Max Power = 20% should be enough to fire a perfectly healthy laser tube.
If you have a lot of experience and a good number of hours on the laser tube it will still be powered at low power but it may need more Max power to fire.
Confirmed by the tube not lighting up and the LED on the power supply. Working project set at 32.5 max, 0 on min. Test power set at (Currently) 70 max and 50 min, which should fire the laser. Same result whether the high power switch is on or off.
There are a number of machines that our partner vendors have produced in recent years that will fail to run a job if both lasers are enabled, so the default was changed from both enabled to just laser 1. I’ve added buttons to the focus test to let you choose laser 1 or laser 2 and will try to get this into a patch for 2.1.
