Lasermatic MK2 issues rehoming or homming, please help. Windows 10 laptop use. Light urn version 1.7.08

Hi,

I have a MK2 Lasermatic but I haven’t been able to set up homing. Now I am getting error alarms 1 & 3. Can someone provide me a screenshot of the properties to set it up. Not sure what an I doing wrong.

Software is version 1.7.08 on a Windows 10 HP laptop.

Help, I get the motor running against the wall of the laser when I click home.

Please help,

Thank you in advance.

Nadia

I get the following error

ALARM:1

Hard limit triggered. Machine position is likely lost due to sudden and immediate halt. Re-homing is highly recommended.

To be able to use the Home operation:

  1. The laser must have limit switches.
  2. You need to know which corner is the Home position. It is typically the front (bottom) left corner, but not always. If you manually (power off) push the laser module into the corner slowly and listen for the click of the limit switches.
  3. $22=1 (yours is)

Power off, Then on. Does it go towards the Home corner? If not, $23 sets the direction. Click on the bar Outputs Setup and look for X Homing direction invert and ($23) and the same for Y Homing…

Once you get the Homing cycle to function, then check the Jog directions. That would be the $3 parameter to look for.

Hi, it was already at 3. I shrunk the working area hopefully this would fix the issue but is the same.

Where do I go for the jog directions

I got the same thing

This is the move screen. I know i am doing something wrong, I just dont’t know what

Why do you think it is supposed to be a “3”?

You did not say if the Home cycle was working properly. If this is not good, nothing else will be.

Once Homing is correct, then you can fix the Jog directions.

An alarm message can be part of the startup sequence and not necessarily mean something is wrong. Your Alarm 1 appears to be from trying to run a program. If Home and Jog are not correct, having a program run is just plain luck.

  1. HOME
  2. JOG
  3. Then the rest of the stuff.
