Laserpecker LX1 - GRBL

Lightburn v.1.7.01
Hello everyone,
I’m in total despair ! I’ve been using Lightburn with my LX1 for 6 months now and, last week, the laser suddently froze in the middle of a cut. There was no error message from Lightburn and the timer continued to run, but no action was possible and I had to unplug everything to get the laser back to its origin.
I first thought it was a dust problem and I cleaned everything thoroughly (it wasn’t very dirty though). But the problem remained.
I checked this group and saw it was quite a “common” connexion issue and that the solution could be related to the connexion cable. I bought a new cable (same brand as the one I had) : lightburn doesn’t even recognize it !
I read it could be due to the usb ; I’m on a Macbook pro and it has no USB A ; so I bought a powered usb hub, following the advice of someone in Facebook’s Laserpecker group who connected successfully his LX1 to his MacBook pro. It also failed ; the computer recognizes the hub but lightburn does not
I’m out of solutions and very worried because I have a lot of work to do.
Would you please help me and give me an idea of what I could do now.
