I often do large engraving on my D1 Pro. I have found it has started lifting the last cut or engraving up at the end of the burn for some reason. For example it is lifting the whole last letter up or it raises a cut up and ruins the piece at the very last moment. I am guessing it is not a hardware issue as if it was a belt the whole piece would be wrong…
I was on light burn 14.0.01 then went back to 14.0 but it happened again. Is there anything anyone could suggest I try? It has ruined some expensive wood and I have lost confidence in it…
Hi, welcome to the forum. For best results with LightBurn, your xtool d1 pro laser should be using the latest firmware from the manufacturer. This can only be updated in XCS.
The manufacturer states that you should also use the latest version of LightBurn from their tutorial here: https://support.xtool.com/article/509
LightBurn 14.0.01 is not a version that exists. Here is our archive:
Have you performed any maintenance on your machine to rule out mechanical issues as the cause? Here’s an excellent guide: Guide to mechanical adjustments and maintenance
The same problem is reoccurring on the updated LightBurn software.
