Layers disappear when empty : not trivial compared to other softwares

Hi,
I work usually with rhino, photoshop, affinity (and a lot more)
Someone could explain me why layers disappears when they are empty ?
I can’t get used to it.
What is the mindset behind that ?
Any tricks to make it work like (all) other softwares or to alleviate shifting toward that weird paradigm ?

Regards

If the layer has no content, there’s no reason to clutter up the UI in the Cuts/Layers window. If you’re concerned with saving settings as defaults for layers, you can do that! Default Layer Settings - LightBurn Documentation

You can also save layer settings to your Material Library: Material Library - LightBurn Documentation

If you import a file with the colours matching the layer colours, LightBurn will automatically populate those layers.

There is currently no way to have an empty layer. You can make a request for this feature via our Feature Request site: https://lightburn.fider.io/
