Thanks everyone for your time to hopefully remedy my issue. I use a WeCreat Vision Pro 45w laser, connected to LightBurn with my iMac. When I try to size and engrave items onto coasters, the size and location are very skewed. The size is way too large than the selection I’ve made, and it is very off centered.
So far I’ve recalibrating the camera, trying offsets, all without success. If I use the WeCreat software, works like a charm. However, I purchased LB because I need more versatility in my creations which WeCreat cannot provide.
I am open to any suggestions you may have, and I am eagerly looking forward to reading replies. This has plagued me for three days now, and I’m at my wits end.
I responded to your email but it came back as 'Recipient server rejected email., so I’m following up here too.
We are aware of issues with this brand, their controllers are not normal.
Please try using this device profile I’ve attached. WeCreat Vision Pro 45W Aa (2).lbzip (25.1 KB)
It’s been tested and reportedly works for others. You may need to adjust the work area.
In LightBurn 2.1, from the Camera window you can select “Add Camera⇾Load From Preset”.
Then select WeCreat from the camera presets.
If the issue persists, I need more information to share with the developers and get their input. Send me your support data and attach and .lbrn project files you are using. Go to Help>Generate Support Data>Paste what it copies to your clipboard in a reply back.
We need screenshots of how bad the offset is from where it should be. You can correct small shifts using the X/Y shift controls:
While we’re happy to assist with the camera calibration issues, in general, using current position or absolute coords + a jig might be a faster workflow overall:
Good morning and thanks for your reply! I’m not sure why my spam filters blocked you, they are pretty robust but should have let you through.
I removed into my Mac and have downloaded the profile you attached; I will try it this afternoon when I return to my workshop. I will send you the support data you requested this afternoon as well. I did try the X/Y shifts but they did not work; I’m seeing about 30 mm of offset when I use the software.
Thanks for all your help! I’ve reviewed the LB file you sent and it works PERFECTLY. The camera calibration was very simple, more easier than it has been in the past. The laser also does not perform the Auto Z when attempting to engrave either.
**ALSO… I found the Easter Egg in the Focus macro. Thank you to Aa for fixing the calibration and focus issue too.
Y’all keep up the great work. I’m happy to pay for this software license, it’s making my laser endeavors a lot easier and more streamlined!
