Good afternoon! I found this on a forum for my cnc router this afternoon and thought it was intriguing!
I use LB for my co2 and galvo lasers and love everything about it. It would be amazing to be able to use LB for the “cad” side of designing for the router the same way I use it for my lasers.
Any possibility of this being a reality in the future?
thank you for everything.
Sure. We have not made any official announcements, so far… But,…
OMG!! I’m feeling like a kid in a candy store right now!! This is like when the teaser for galvo support was sent out!
Thank you for the hint…LOL I’ll be standing by!
My guess is you will be munching on the candy after LBX conention.
Oh, I’m a hard core proponent of LightBurn!! If I can use it on all of the machines I have, I call that a win!
Bring on the candy!! LOL
I wonder if 3d printers will be next, then there can be one software to rule them all.
We have no plans of pursuing 3D printing software - the market there is already rather saturated.
WOW found this topic while looking for something else. It would be great if this could happen. Current situation: Sainsmart 3020 promax, running on grbl 1.1f . Just got it so using the default software ( Candle) .( static X axis- variable Y axis) I have it configured in LB for homing, ( limit) switches - X homes at upper
right (looking at machine) the Y table homes to the FRONT as your looking at it. I can turn on the “laser” /Spindle in test fire mode THE PART thats missing - if your in 2.5D "mind set " mode : need a way to control z axis movment in relation to depth of cut ( importing DXF) SIGN ME UP FOR BETA TESTING !!! Thanks Roz and Rick and TEAM
Oh that will probably disappoint a lot of people, who love LB and want it to dominate the hobby/craft/small business world LOL fortunately I can get by without it as I only use my 3d printer for making parts/accessories for my lasers and CNC machines.
Thank you for the generous offer @JoeC. Much appreciated. We recently opened up our overall testing process to now include Public Betas, in order to improve the quality and stability of public releases. We will make an announcement when a new beta is released, so rest assured, we will be making some noise for new betas, when available.
Will keep an eye out for that as well! Very interested!
