I would love to see an Abort button in LB/MM. This is basically a method to stop sending code to our machine, especially on the Move tab. It could be optional and a popup warning that tells user to rely on their hardware stop button, since this is a software stop only. Not for it to disconnect, but just stop sending the code. When I jog my machine from the Move tab, I forgot how many time I hit the Z button and crashed into the surface.
Both have a Pause and a Stop button, although it is not a big red one like an Emergency Stop type. They do stop sending code, but remember the code is streamed into a buffer. I have noticed with Lightburn the STOP button is fairly responsive.
I can shut the power off to the laser using a rocker wall switch on my setup.
I can shut the power off to the CNC mill with a big mechanical E-Stop button at the front of the machine.
Both are infinitely faster than locating a Stop button with the mouse in an emergency.
