Not sure what to say. A couple of days ago I got the Cherokee Beast up and running.
I’m using a Lenovo mini desk top, 64 bit, win10. This pc is dedicated to the beast and nothing else. When I installed LB, I got the newest version at that time, 1.7.???. The laser would not run correctly. With help from no less than 20 or 30 fine members working on this problem we decided to go to a later version of LB. That appeared to cure the problems. This time period was from Dec. 024 to Feb. 025. Feb. of 025 is when I got sick, completely shut down the Beast, covered it with a sheet and didn’t touch it again a few days ago. Fired the beast up and tried burning some ceramic coasters. Things started acting weird, fire button will not fire laser and the button won’t even click, laser fires when I click frame, all move controls are backwards. I finally got 26 of 50 coasters made. Then things went crazy, 50% of the image would burn fine then the laser would just shoot off to the side at any angle and start burning the remaining 50% of the image. Laser has lost almost all power to the point that it won’t burn through one coating of Zinssers paint, ( Lasertree 20W. opt. output) with power set at 100% and speed 500 mm/m. Now comes the strange part, I unplugged the beast from the PC and plugged in another laser, (Ortur) same results as the beast, plugged in another Ortur and had same results. Could this version, (1.6.03) be a bad install? Anyone have ideas on this matter?
