Regarding Lightburn and xTool “LB not connecting to laser” I found that LB reported that something else was using the portal. That something was xTool XCS even though I had completely closed everything before attempting to use LB. I uninstalled the XCS application then LB worked fine. I have two Mac computers so I have one for LB and the other for XCS. This is a workaround as I should not have to dedicate a Mac to one or the other.

This is very interesting. Did this happen in the new LightBurn 1.3.00, a previous version or both?
May I also ask which operating systems your macs use?
It’s possible that the XCS software is not releasing the USB port or not terminating properly on macs. I’ll see if someone can reproduce this here.
I’m getting the same problem. Lightburn refuses all USB connection. I’ve selected the right USB Port on my MacBook (cu.usbserial-10) and it just says “Port In Use”. I’ve quit XCS, but it was connected to Wifi in that instance anyway.
