LB with Openbuilds "Blackbox" controller?

Searched forum for blackbox - nothing found.

Novice here trying to make LB work with Blackbox.
My laser is functional with controller software from Openbuilds ie: moves properly, limit switches work, etc.

With LB however GRBL setup is semi functional. Motion seems mostly correct when running a vector object however if I attempt scanning with an image I immediately get…

Starting stream
ALARM:2
On or near line 4:

Also status is always busy after limit switch activation and unable to clear that unless I restart program. Feels like there is much more to setup of the controller than I am aware of.

Suggestions?

Thanks in advance

UPDATE: Apparently [discovered this purely by accident] you cannot have “Soft Limits” enabled within the blackbox setup. Disabling that removed the Alarm 2 error I mentioned above.

Still issues with “busy” and if I send machine to home position that apparently lies somewhere well beyond limits and has nothing to do with origin point.

From the OpenBuilds site, it looks like they are running grbl1.1. But they don’t identify which version. Type $$ into the console and post the entire results here for review.

UPDATE:
No idea what change in the blackbox setup made LB happy but now I can stop laser without getting stuck in “busy” mode. “Home” is still some coordinate outside the machine but it seems mostly functional now and will reliably return to origin.
Trying to figure out speed and laser power relationship now. In order to get full power out of laser I have to set speed low? Counter intuitive to say the least.
