Hi LightBurn team,
I’ve been trying to get .lbrn2 files to show thumbnails in Windows Explorer (instead of just the generic LightBurn icon), but so far nothing works — even after following all the known steps.
Here’s what I’ve confirmed:
- I’m using LightBurn v2.0.20 (Windows 64-bit)
- The file
LightBurnThumbnailHandler.dllis present inC:\Program Files\LightBurn - I’ve successfully registered it using
regsvr32(no errors) - Thumbnail previews for images like
.jpgor.pngwork fine in Explorer - I’ve cleared the Windows thumbnail cache, restarted Explorer, and double-checked that “Always show icons, never thumbnails” is unchecked
- Even using
.lbrn2files that I just saved, I still only see the standard LightBurn icon
I also checked the Settings panel in LightBurn, and I don’t see any option to include or enable preview images when saving projects. Was this feature removed? Or is there something I’m missing?
Thanks in advance for your help — I’d really love to have thumbnails working again!
Best regards,
Nicolas
