Hi everyone, I know I am new to laser engraving and cutting and really too old to be learning new skills. Does anybody know if LightBurn runs an online training course? I don’t have a clue when it comes to designing software and my laser engraver is sitting here gathering dust. I have looked at some of the videos on YouTube but they expect you to have a certain amount of knowledge, which I don’t.
Many thanks,
Carl
Lightburn has videos on their channel on YouTube. There are lots of other videos by people on YouTube. Check out the links here:

YT, FB groups…
There is a course on Udemy.
Unfortunately, it’s in Polish. English subtitles only.
The author often gives out promotional codes.
Now this works:

Never too old to learn new skills! Really laser cutting can be fun and easy too. Of all the hardware in my shop I find the laser one of the easiest tools to operate. There are many great tutorials out there and I encourage you to watch a bunch, but there is no need to learn absolutely everything at once. You will find that you can get by with only a basic knowledge of the tools at hand. Try and get the basics and you will be on your way.
How old is “too old”? I started with Lightburn at 75 and we have some users in their mid 80’s. Learning new stuff is what keeps you young.
