Hi guys,
I am trying to engrave a LGP (light guide plate ) dot pattern for a lumianre, and I get these weird lines on the X-axis . I work with a 150 W laser tube, and I have the settings as the image shows. I also tried with the air assist, but the result is the same.
Any advice would be highly appreciated!
Thanks
Those settings seem to be in RDWorks, so our collective LightBurn experience may not be relevant.
Edit: Knowing the defocused lines are not the “weird lines” invalidates the rest of this.
I’d guess the power supply is failing and does not shut off properly after the last pass.
That photo shows a line with a dotted texture mimicking a single scan line, but it appears both defocused and done at a wider spacing, neither of which seem due to controller settings.
Knowing how RDWorks implements the dot pattern would help the diagnosis, but that’s a mystery.
Could you highlight which bit is the weird bit? It’s circular, so we don’t have any reference for what is the x axis!
It does look like a difference in focus. I’d make sure the axis are clean, nothing’s binding up etc. if you move the head by hand, can you feel anything different in those areas versus the rest of the build area? Is the bed clean?
