License for two lasers both are GRBL or Marlin

I have two lasers, one is GRBL generic and the other is a Creality Ender with the laser module in Marlin mode. It appears that I can either run them one at a time from a single instance of LightBurn, or run two instances of LightBurn and run them both (I doubt that will happen often). Since they are both in the GRBL family, it seems like this is still one license whether it is on a single PC or two.

The Ender Laser is broken at the moment during its first week of use and only 1.6W so I doubt it gets used much. Especially as poor as Creality support seems to be, but I like LightBurn quite a bit and was wanting to make sure I purchased the correct licenses. I did not see an answer in the forums that directly addressed the license question for mutliple lasers, only the multiple installations on the 2 included PCs for the single license.

Both Marlin and GRBL fall under the g-code license. Each license purchase gets you installation onto two computers.

As you have surmised, the number of instances and devices configured on those two computers is irrelevant. You can have any number of configured g-code devices and as many instances running as your computer can bear and it will fit under the same 2 installation license terms.
