When creating a burn, I am getting lots of very very light burns…a mix of dark burns at all. What could be the issue??

But my best suggestion would be to find a piece of waste wood of the same type and do more tests. It is also conceivable that diode lasers which are overpowered by the manufacturer without the diode itself being designed for it, begin to vary in output power.
