Lightburn 1.5 Bluetooth & Camera

When I installed 1.5 on my desktop haven’t seen any issues. When I installed on my laptop my Bluetooth mouse was disabled (still have got it working) and was unable to update camera. Maybe it is just me.

LightBurn would be unrelated to Bluetooth connectivity. Check elsewhere for that. Make sure BT is enabled. Try rebooting if you haven’t already.

Can you elaborate on what this means? What does it mean to update the camera? Are you referring to the overlay? Is the camera selected in Camera Control window?

When the camera control is selected the and “update overlay” is toggled the display within the camera control shows the bed of the laser but, the full screen of the bed does not show and the coordinates do not go to absolute.

Was this previously working on the same computer? If so, go to File->Load prefs backup. Pick a file from a known period that it was working.

Retest.

I wouldn’t expect the overlay update to change the Start From mode.

I restored my settings to a date in January. On that date the camera was working! After restoring my settings to the January date the camera is NOT working!

Are you using the same port that you’ve always used? Has anything changed in your setup since the last use of the camera?

Have you added any additional hardware or USB components?

Try to eliminate any variables. Does the camera work on your desktop?

Same port. NOTHING has been added or deleted to the system or my laptop. Unable to connect desktop to my machine.

You could try downgrading to and older version to eliminate that as a variable but I suspect it won’t make a difference.

Have you tried going through the calibration process again?

Are you by chance using a Mac? I was seeing similar issues and I recently updated the iOS and I’m wondering if that was the issue now?

I will do the above later today or in the morning. Thank you for your input.

Windows 11

MY CAMERA NOW WORKS! I ran the alignment process again, AND THAT IS ALL. I wish I had an explanation of what or how this was fixed.

Thanks for the input!!

Bottom line is that the camera requires calibration data for it to work correctly. By running alignment you provided the necessary components for the camera to work.

The part that’s unclear is why it was lost to begin with and why the prefs backup didn’t recover it.

I’d suggest right-clicking on the Camera Control window and taking a backup of your camera settings so that you can recover them if required.

THANK you for your insight and help. I will do the above immediately.

THANK YOU!
